Janet Hubert (born Janet Louise Hubert on January 13, 1956 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American film and TV actress. She has starred in multiple television shows and movies, as well as on Broadway. She has also been nominated for an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series. She will star as Diana Ward in the TV movie Ward of the State, due in 2016.

Janet Hubert is best known for portraying the original Vivian Banks on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

Personal Life:

Hubert first married James Whitten in 1990, and they have a son, Elijah Isaac. They divorced in 1994, and Hubert remarried to Larry Kraft in 2005. She has osteoporosis and serves as the ambassador of the National Osteoporosis Foundation.
